Biosketch

Andrea Palmiotto, PhD, received her undergraduate degree at the University of South Carolina. She completed her PhD in Anthropology at the University of Florida and served as an ORISE postdoctoral fellow for the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) at Offutt AFB, NE, before accepting a civilian position with the DPAA Scientific Analysis directorate at JBPHH, HI. She is currently an associate professor of anthropology at Indiana University of Pennsylvania with research in forensic anthropology, conflict-related field recovery, and zooarchaeology. In addition to teaching and research, she offers anthropological consultation in western Pennsylvania and surrounding regions.
