Biosketch

Abbie VanDerWege, PhD is a pediatric psychologist. Dr. VanDerWege did her undergraduate studies in Psychology at Kalamazoo College. She received a masters degree and a doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University.

Dr. VanDerWege was inspired to pursue a career in psychology by her dedicated instructors, who showed her how she could positively impact those in need. Her experience as a parent has also profoundly influenced her, giving her insight into what children require to thrive. She has a particular interest in psychological testing for children and adolescents.

Dr. VanDerWege looks forward to work each day, as it allows her to provide answers, hope and a path forward for children. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering in her children's activities, spending time with her family, walking her dogs, reading, crocheting and practicing yoga.
